SAP FICO Business Analyst - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Tax Business Analyst to join our team and support our client's project. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and integrating tax solutions within SAP FICO, with a primary focus on Vertex. This role requires a strong understanding of North American tax regulations, SAP finance processes, and integration with SD, MM, and PP modules.

In Short

• Design and execute business blueprints, ensuring alignment with tax and financial requirements.
• Configure and customize SAP FICO to support tax calculations and reporting.
• Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to define and document tax business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with USA and Canadian tax regulations within the SAP system.
• Provide expertise on indirect tax processes, tax determination, and reporting.
• Support the transition from Thomson Reuters tax solutions to Vertex.
• Ensure seamless SAP integration with tax solutions, particularly Vertex.
• Develop and execute test scenarios for vendor/customer financial invoices.
• Execute tests integrated with SD, MM, PP modules to validate tax-related transactions (from PO/SO to Invoices).
• Lead UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and integration testing, ensuring financial transactions are correctly processed.
• Write User Requirement Specifications (URS) to document business needs.
• Provide training on tax functionalities (AP, AR, Reporting, MM& SD Invoicing etc.) to business users.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in SAP Finance configuration and implementation.
• Strong expertise in tax solution integration, primarily with Vertex.
• In-depth knowledge of North American tax policies and business processes.
• Experience with SAP SD, MM, and PP modules for tax and financial transaction integration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage tasks across multiple streams.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or finance & accounting from a recognized institution.
• Master’s degree a plus
• SAP certification(s) / tax certifications are highly preferred
• Work authorization
• Language: English - Professional / Advanced / Native
