Overview

As a GIS Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), leveraging your expertise to develop innovative solutions that directly contribute to vital environmental research and public service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL databases, and geospatial data.
• Proficient in Python for automating data workflows.
• Familiar with automating database provisioning and using GitLab.
• Comfortable using AWS services like EC2, S3, and RDS.
• AWS and ArcGIS certifications preferred.
