Project Controls Manager/Power BI Specialist - Remote

Overview

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Controls Manager/Power BI Specialist for our New York, NY office. This role can also be based in other WSP locations across the US (Los Angeles, Seattle, Dallas, Chicago, Orlando). This is a hybrid position.

In Short

• Work under the direction of the Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and evaluation of project financial reporting.
• Develop PowerBI dashboards to visualize project health and key performance indicators.
• Implement effective cost control procedures to track project expenses and analyze cost variances.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to evaluate cost-saving options.
• Implement integrated project controls methodologies for cost and schedule management.
• Communicate project status and cost performance to stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings to track and solve cost and schedule management issues.
• Maintain financial reports for individual project subtasks.
• Review funding availability and procurement documentation.
• Manage change order processes and evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• 10 years of combined field and office project controls experience.
• Experience with dashboard reporting and Microsoft PowerBI is required.
• Extensive knowledge of cost estimating methodologies and cost control techniques.
• Ability to interface with clients and participate in business development initiatives.
• Expert ability with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel.
• Excellent communication skills to deal with a high-pressure environment.
