Remote - Linux Systems Administrator

Overview

World Business Lenders (WBL) is looking for a Linux System Administrator to manage Linux-based servers and infrastructure in an Azure Cloud environment, ensuring reliability and security for business applications.

In Short

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
• Apply OS patches and software upgrades.
• Monitor system health and performance.
• Troubleshoot OS-level and hardware issues.
• Enhance security of Linux systems.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Create shell scripts for automation.
• Implement configuration management tools.
• Maintain accurate system documentation.
• Work schedule typically from 9:00am to 6:00pm Eastern Time.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience with Linux server administration.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud environments.
• Knowledge of security best practices.
• Ability to create and enhance automation scripts.
• Experience with monitoring tools.
• Understanding of backup and recovery procedures.
• Ability to document system configurations.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
