Security Specialist - Remote

Overview

As a Security Specialist at Worksighted, you will be responsible for monitoring clients’ environments for security issues and addressing these issues accordingly, working closely with the Director of Security and other engineers.

In Short

• Monitor and address security issues in client environments.
• Collaborate with the Director of Security and engineering teams.
• Process triaged security-related issues from the Security Support Board.
• Assist in security incident response and remediation.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and produce reports.
• Maintain documentation of security standards and best practices.
• Provide security training to staff as needed.
• Support security initiatives and projects.
• Identify and respond to potential threats.
• Provide clients with updates on security tickets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Cyber Security, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in Cyber Security.
• Active security certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GCIH, CySA+).
• Knowledge of security management frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, CIS).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong task prioritization abilities.
