Database Administrator (DBA) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) with experience in managing production environments and proven knowledge in GCP and/or AWS to join the Data team of one of our clients dedicated to software development for logistics and Data Warehouse across LATAM.

In Short

• Manage, maintain, and monitor databases in cloud environments (GCP / AWS).
• Optimize performance (query tuning, indexes, etc.).
• Manage backups, restorations, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Automate operational tasks and scripting for maintenance.
• Support development teams in defining and reviewing data models.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure security, availability, and scalability.
• Participate in processes of review and continuous improvement of data architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a DBA or in similar roles.
• Proven experience managing databases in at least one of these cloud environments: GCP and/or AWS.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and/or MySQL (other engines like MongoDB, BigQuery, etc. are valued).
• Knowledge of monitoring, backups, high availability, and replication.
• Ability to create and maintain automation scripts in Bash, Python, or others.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices (desirable).
• Intermediate or higher level of English for reading and technical documentation.
