Release Engineer (Independent Contractor) - Remote

Overview

Wolfram is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Release Engineer to join our Release Engineering department. The Release Engineer will be responsible for turning ideas and prototypes into products and distributing automation systems that build products for every platform.

In Short

• Advising developers on release-related issues
• Diagnosing build and automation issues
• Researching and migrating to new automation systems
• Optimizing automation systems to reduce product build time
• Recognizing cross-platform porting issues
• Configuring and maintaining build machines
• Maintaining internal documentation for the RE codebase and processes
• Administrating servers

Requirements

• Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, IT or a related STEM field
• Experience with Linux, macOS and/or Windows
• Experience with scripting
• Experience with C and C++
• Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly
• Good research habits
