Technical Research Assistant - MRA - Remote

Overview

The Technical Research Assistant will work independently under general supervision on a research project involving behavioral pharmacology and molecular genetic methods in laboratory rodents.

In Short

• Independently performs stereotactic rodent surgery and rodent transcardial perfusions.
• Conducts moderate to complex rodent behavioral assays.
• Executes routine and non-routine experiments, including ELISA and immunohistochemistry.
• Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data using statistical techniques.
• Collaborates with team members to improve research protocols.
• Conducts literature searches and assists in preparing presentations.
• Trains new staff and may supervise in smaller lab settings.
• Constantly seeks to learn and improve independence in work.
• Requires good analytical and organizational skills.
• Must be comfortable handling rodents for behavioral studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• At least one year of experience in a related research setting.
• Positive work ethic and good time management skills.
• Sound analytical and organizational skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Able to structure tasks and set priorities logically.
• Ability to identify problems and troubleshoot solutions.
