Overview

The Psychiatric Counselor I provides individual and group counseling as part of patients' treatment plans at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, Behavioral Health.

• Provide individual and group counseling to patients.
• Work within established organizational policies and procedures.
• Report to the Nurse Manager, Behavioral Health.
• Support patient care activities for mentally ill and substance abuse populations.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
• BA or BS in Psychology or related field is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• CPI certification must be obtained within 90 days.
• Work location is at 30 Locust Street, Northampton.
• Position is per diem with rotating shifts.

Requirements

• BA or BS in Psychology or related field from an accredited school.
• Current CPR certification.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• 1-3 years of experience with mentally ill and substance abuse populations.
