Mental Health Technician - Remote

Overview

The Mental Health Technician is responsible for providing direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being while supporting the maintenance of a therapeutic environment.

In Short

• Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients.
• Advocate for vulnerable patients needing additional support.
• Provide family counseling and interventions.
• Adhere to guidelines for patients on special status.
• Provide accurate shift reports and remain on the unit during transitions.
• Act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
• Maintain professional boundaries with patients.
• Complete and file documentation in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• 0-1 year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Successful completion of CPI training required within 30 days of hire.
