Maintenance Mechanic - Remote

Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems throughout the Brigham and Women's Hospital complex, ensuring the proper functioning of various systems.

In Short

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Repair building operations and mechanical systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2 years of mechanical or electrical experience.
• Good working knowledge of hand tools and mechanical specialty tools.
• Ability to lift over 30lbs occasionally.
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is a plus.
• Ability to work in potentially hazardous environments.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies.
• Technical or vocational training is preferred.
