Linen Handler - Remote

Overview

The Linen Handler at Mass General Brigham is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of linen items, including scrubs and uniforms, to end-users according to established schedules and guidelines.

In Short

• Part-time position requiring 20 hours per week.
• Receives and stores linen items at designated locations.
• Fills inpatient exchange carts daily and ensures standing orders are filled.
• Delivers exchange carts to inpatient floors according to schedule.
• Responds to customer requests and inquiries.
• Inspects and disposes of clean linen items as appropriate.
• Fills and empties scrub machine dispensers.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for 80% of work time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on weekends.
• Works within legal and ethical practice standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Basic mathematical and communication skills required.
• Ability to push/pull heavy loads using manual equipment.
• Must be able to learn and operate electric power jack.
• Ability to adjust to operational changes.
