Overview

The Explorations Assistant Group Leader works at Aspire’s Explorations Summer Program for teens aged 14-19, focusing on helping teens develop self-awareness and social skills.

In Short

• Lead a group of 6-8 teens during community outings and structured activities.
• Implement interventions and strategies for program participants.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and record keeping.
• Attend all required meetings and trainings.
• Coordinate medication administration as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to develop therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain health and safety of participants and staff.
• Complete evaluation forms and incident reports in a timely manner.
• Respect rules set forth by collaborating agencies.
• Engage in problem-solving for social interaction and behavioral issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Enrolled in or graduated from a relevant undergraduate program.
• Prior experience with neurodivergent children preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification required.
