Overview

The Barista performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and serving foods and beverages in a food service environment at Mass General Brigham.

In Short

• Sets up food service and kitchen facilities.
• Conveys food and supplies to the serving site.
• Follows procedures in setting up food lines.
• Prepares hot and cold dishes, beverages, and salads.
• Requires 2-3 years of food service experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of food service lines and temperature requirements.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, and lifting.
• Work shift is during the day.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of food service experience required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and write.
• Knowledge of cooking and food preparation methods.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
• Knowledge of inventory control.
• Skill in preparing a variety of foods.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Understanding of safety procedures.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies safely.
