Overview

The Audiologist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is responsible for providing comprehensive audiologic services for the diagnosis and rehabilitation of hearing loss and diseases of the head and neck.

In Short

  • Independently performs comprehensive audiologic services.
  • Conducts diagnostic evoked response audiometry.
  • Evaluates, fits, and dispenses hearing aids.
  • Conducts cochlear implant evaluations.
  • Provides counseling, referrals, and rehabilitation services.
  • Performs electrodiagnostic evaluations of ear disease.
  • Conducts intra-operative monitoring of cranial nerves.
  • Requires Doctoral degree in Audiology.
  • Must have CCC-A certification from ASHA.
  • One year of professional experience in a medical setting preferred.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree with a major in Audiology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA.
  • Massachusetts license to practice Audiology.
  • One year of professional full-time work experience.
  • Experience with diagnostic audiologic testing for all ages.
