• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Ability to solve frontend and backend challenges using various languages including JavaScript, React, PHP, HTML, and CSS.
• Build new ideas from scratch and improve existing features across the Avail product.
• Scale backend infrastructure and services for a national audience.
• Advocate for clean, well-documented, and performant code.
• Translate design mockups into executable engineering tasks.
• Collaborate through pair programming and code reviews.
• Work with product designers, managers, and engineers to deliver a compelling user-facing product.
• Provide solutions to scaling and performance issues.
• Troubleshoot production technical issues promptly.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject (nice-to-have).
• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, React, Next.js, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Excellent programming skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Strong eye for design and user experience.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
