Overview

The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for a Senior Visual Designer who is passionate about the power of brand, design, and technology to change the world. You will be our brand Design ambassador, responsible for building an iconic memorable brand that pushes for real impact within the Wikimedia movement and for the world.

• Design with the highest craft standards, and attention to detail, across all touchpoints.
• Oversee creative projects from start to finish, managing timelines and stakeholders.
• Use design thinking to solve complex problems posed by the Foundation teams.
• Inspire the Foundation and external audiences through better creative and branding.
• Safeguard and develop brand guidelines as a brand ambassador.
• Maintain a library of brand assets and guidelines for staff, volunteers, and partners.
• Collaborate with various teams to solve problems and shape work as one team.
• Manage and art direct external design partners to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Coach and inspire others on the correct usage of brand materials.
• Embrace the Wikimedia mission and showcase positive communication.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in design.
• Deep understanding of design fundamentals.
• Attention to detail and craft.
• Ability to manage project timelines effectively.
