Business Analyst for Bookstore - Full Time - Remote

Overview

As a non-profit ministry of Westminster Theological Seminary, the Westminster Bookstore has been tasked with supplying the church with the best Christian books available–kindergarten through MDiv. We believe that books play a profound role in the life and health of the church and so we take seriously our mission to distribute biblically rich, theologically robust, and pastorally relevant books to God's people.

The role of the Business Analyst is to provide decision makers with data-driven insights gathered from real-time metrics. A successful Business Analyst will produce clear and trustworthy reports that will (1) sharpen strategic decisions, (2) assist the team in the prioritization of initiatives, and (3) optimize the service we provide to customers, ultimately enabling us to extend our reach and better steward our resources.

In Short

• Prepare and present regular reports on key business metrics
• Evaluate monthly P&L statements and assist in quarterly and annual budget forecasting
• Design and execute ongoing tests, measuring the effectiveness of business initiatives to objectively determine the value of our services
• Collaborate with the core leadership team of the Bookstore to propose actionable solutions and improvements based on data analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or economics, or 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience analyzing, interpreting, summarizing and presenting key business metrics
• A heart for ministry and a passion to serve the global church through the production and distribution of biblically faithful books
• A strong grasp of Reformed Theology
• Creative problem-solver
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized and able to set and manage priorities and goals independently
• A desire for continuous learning
