DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a DevOps Engineer at Westernacher Solutions, you will be responsible for the design, development, management, and operation of containerized IT platforms, along with maintaining a large security-critical application.

In Short

• Design, develop, and manage containerized IT platforms.
• Operate a large security-critical application with many external interface partners.
• Implement security measures, including load and failure simulation tests.
• Support continuous development of software lifecycle management concepts.
• Design and improve internal CI/CD environments.
• Develop modern build and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate closely in ITIL and Scrum with development and support teams.

Requirements

• Completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging technologies (e.g., Elastic Stack, Nagios).
• Knowledge in network technology, firewall, and load balancing.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience in operating web-based applications in private and public clouds.
• Proficient in Linux, particularly Ubuntu and CentOS.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines based on GitLab.
• Fluent in English and business-level German.
