Norwegian Music Localization Specialist - Remote

Overview

Welocalize is seeking passionate and culturally fluent Norwegian linguists with deep knowledge of contemporary music and exceptional writing skills to join our Music localization team. You’ll help shape compelling in-app content and user experiences that resonate with Swedish-speaking audiences across genres and formats.

In Short

• Translate and adapt music-related content into native-level Norwegian.
• Bring an authentic tone and voice to the client's Music’s global platform.
• Work with a volume of 1,000–2,000 weighted words/week.
• Utilize Welocalize CAT & client tools (training provided).
• Maintain brand consistency and linguistic accuracy across various platforms.
• Provide feedback for improving content relevance and impact.
• Collaborate with assessment team on grammar and UX tasks.
• Adapt tone and structure to reflect the Norwegian music scene.
• Strong familiarity with current music trends and genres.
• Comfortable using CAT tools for multiple platforms.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years' experience in music, media, or creative localization.
• Excellent command of Norwegian and deep cultural fluency.
• Degree in linguistics, translation, or journalism preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with UI/UX copy and music metadata.
• Creative writing background is a plus.
