French Music Localization Specialist - Remote

Overview

Welocalize is seeking passionate and culturally fluent French (France) linguists with deep knowledge of contemporary music and exceptional writing skills to join our Music localization team. You’ll help shape compelling in-app content and user experiences that resonate with French-speaking audiences across genres and formats.

In Short

• Translate and post-edit music-related content with precision and creativity.
• Adapt tone, style, and structure to reflect the French music scene, culture, and idiomatic usage.
• Collaborate with our assessment team to complete brief testing in our platform.
• Maintain brand consistency and linguistic accuracy across various assets.
• Provide feedback or suggestions for improving content relevance and impact.
• Work on a variety of music-related content for a global platform.
• Utilize CAT tools and other client tools for translation tasks.
• Work with a volume of 1,000–2,000 weighted words/week.
• Possess a degree in linguistics, translation, or journalism.
• Have a creative writing background preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years' experience in music, media, or creative localization.
• Strong familiarity with current music trends and cultural context.
• Excellent command of French (France) and deep cultural fluency.
• Experience with UI/UX copy, music metadata, or artist bios.
• Comfortable using CAT tools and adapting content to multiple platforms.
