Overview

The Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational excellence and exceptional patient care.

In Short

  • Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence.
  • Assist patients and customers with their pharmacy needs.
  • Ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and promptly.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation.
  • Contribute to a positive patient experience through genuine care.
  • Complete inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership.
  • Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local laws and CVS policies.
  • Deliver additional patient health care services as allowed by law.
  • Participate in a rigorous training program to meet certification requirements.

Requirements

  • Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements.
  • Minimum age of 16 years, or high school diploma/equivalent.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
  • Strong customer service and team orientation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mathematical reasoning abilities for prescription tasks.
  • Ability to resolve problems and manage patient interactions.
  • Physical capability to perform required tasks.
