Overview

The Data Governance Specialist at Wealthsimple will play a critical role in shaping and operationalizing data governance practices to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

• Knowledge of Canadian privacy regulations (PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25).
• Experience in building data governance strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with data classification and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with data management tools (SQL experience is a plus).
• Self-directed professional with the ability to influence.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CIPP/C, CIPM, etc.).
