Vote Mama seeks a strategic, innovative, and mission-driven Senior Director of Communications to join our growing team. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to shape the national conversation around family-friendly policies and women’s political leadership, while elevating the public profile of our Founder and CEO.

• Lead and implement a comprehensive, multi-entity communications strategy.
• Translate complex policy and advocacy work into compelling, accessible messaging for diverse audiences.
• Oversee digital content strategy, including social media, email campaigns, press, website, and brand narrative.
• Collaborate with the Founder and CEO to shape and promote her thought leadership.
• Drive media coverage and increase brand visibility through strategic press outreach.
• Manage communications consultants and staff, building an in-house communications team.
• Supervise the media relations manager and digital content contributors.
• Position Vote Mama and our Founder and CEO as thought leaders.
• Develop metrics to evaluate communications performance and audience engagement.
• Use data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize communications strategies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in communications strategy, public relations, or political communications.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. political landscape.
• Demonstrated success in securing press coverage and developing key messaging.
• Experience managing digital platforms and content.
• Proven ability to create multimedia content.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent project management and attention to detail.
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain discretion.
• Deep alignment with Vote Mama’s mission.

Benefits

• Salary: $130,000–$150,000, commensurate with experience.
