Azure Administrator - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Azure Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, maintenance, and optimisation of Microsoft Azure cloud environments to ensure performance, availability, and security align with business requirements.

In Short

• Part-time contract position, project-based.
• Manage and maintain Azure infrastructure including VMs, networking, and storage.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
• Implement security controls and compliance.
• Troubleshoot Azure-related incidents and service requests.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams for Azure solutions.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Manage Azure Active Directory and role-based access control.
• Provide documentation and support to internal teams.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services is required.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or similar.
• 2-3 years of experience in systems or cloud administration.
• Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience with monitoring, automation, and backup solutions in Azure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
