Remote Service Technician (Heavy Duty Equipment)

Overview

We are looking to hire either a recent industrial technology school graduate or experienced Remote Service Technician to look after the service and maintenance needs of our customers in the Benton Harbor area.

In Short

• Remote Service Technician position focusing on heavy duty equipment.
• Travel to customer sites for diagnostics and repairs.
• Work with minimal supervision on complex repair tasks.
• Operate service truck provided by the company.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain records and reports of service activities.
• Knowledge of safety practices is essential.
• Class A CDL required.
• Experience in agricultural field is a plus.

Requirements

• Obtain and/or maintain a Class 'A' Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Experience working on heavy duty vehicles preferred.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair methods and techniques.
• Familiarity with power and hand tools.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience in agricultural field is advantageous.
