The National Health and Safety Leader is crucial for establishing programs and oversight to ensure the safety of employees at Verdantas, while mitigating potential risks.

In Short

• Lead a team of Area Health & Safety Professionals.
• Manage employee safety training and develop safety programs.
• Ensure effective health and safety plans for all field projects.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate safety-related topics companywide.
• Maintain radioactive materials licenses with U.S. NRC.
• Collaborate with operational leadership on health and safety strategies.
• Promote wellness across the enterprise.
• Align policies with applicable regulations.
• Monitor metrics to identify risk mitigation opportunities.

Requirements

• 15 years of experience in health & safety leadership.
• CSP certification required, CIH a plus.
• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related fields.
• Strong understanding of OSHA and MSHA regulations.
• Experience with safety compliance platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally throughout the U.S.
