Overview

The Package Engineer is responsible for the entire purchasing process for a family or category of equipment/goods, from supplier selection and negotiation to procurement, ensuring compliance with project requirements and SIDEM procedures.

In Short

  • Collect and compile required documents for RFQs and write orders.
  • Select and evaluate suppliers.
  • Negotiate and issue order-related documents.
  • Monitor order execution stages respecting deadlines, quality, and costs.
  • Participate in material shipping with the transport service.
  • Conduct factory inspections if necessary.
  • Provide regular reporting and maintain dashboards related to specialty.
  • Participate in project cost estimation during bidding phases.
  • Contribute to improving internal tools and procedures.
  • Engage in lessons learned activities.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree, ideally with a specialization in mechanics.
  • At least two years of experience in design and implementation of turnkey plants internationally.
  • Experience in purchasing, engineering, or project management in water treatment or Oil & Gas.
  • Proficient in purchasing techniques, contract law, and commercial law.
  • Knowledge of negotiation techniques.
  • Autonomous, organized, and rigorous with task prioritization skills.
  • Teamwork-oriented.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
