Senior Propulsion Engineer - Remote

Overview

Venus Aerospace is revolutionizing rocket engine propulsion, building the next generation of propulsion platforms that enable breakthrough capabilities in space, defense, and commercial high-speed flight. As a Senior Propulsion Engineer, you will be involved in the design, analysis, and development of propulsion hardware.

In Short

• Support design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion piece parts and assemblies
• Generate CAD models of components and engine systems
• Design and analyze engine fluid systems
• Develop and execute test plans, analyze test results
• Systems engineering experience focusing on engine balances and sizing
• Use engine P&IDs to generate detailed CAD models
• Design and analyze tanks and supporting structures
• Work with vehicle engineering and test teams
• Collaborate with vendors for sourcing components
• Use Agile methodology for project management

Requirements

• 5+ years of aerospace vehicle and engine systems engineering/design experience
• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering
• 3+ years of CAD experience with large assemblies
• Experience in systems engineering and operational roles
• Knowledge of aerospace materials and fluid systems
• Experience with design & analysis tools (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, ANSYS)
• Excellent communication skills for hybrid work environments
