Senior Site Reliability & Data Pipeline Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will provide leadership for activities that support applications in the production environment, ensuring application availability and high performance.

In Short

• Lead and mentor a skilled team of support engineers.
• Ensure application availability and performance in production environments.
• Support application integration projects and initiatives.
• Analyze and resolve production issues for on-premise and cloud applications.
• Oversee application code updates and change control.
• Educate team on application optimization and tuning.
• Develop tools for operations staff and identify security issues.
• Monitor technological advances in IT.
• Provide recommendations to improve site reliability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 8 years of experience in application support or development.
• 5 years of experience with APM tools (e.g., Solarwinds, AppDynamics).
• 5 years of experience with logging aggregation platforms (e.g., Splunk).
• 3 years of experience in Unix/Solaris and Microsoft OS administration.
• 3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Experience with Internet technologies (HTTP, SMTP, DNS, etc.).
• Support experience with AWS, Azure, Redhat Openshift, etc.
