Overview

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Varo, you will be part of a well-established SRE team responsible for designing, building, and running large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems that power Varo's operations.

In Short

Take ownership of the availability and resiliency of Varo's cloud-based infrastructure.
Write and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Kubernetes helm charts.
Improve observability and monitoring across Varo's infrastructure.
Create and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and log systems.
Implement advanced observability tools for deeper system insights.
Help lead high-profile incidents and facilitate blameless post-mortems.
Collaborate with development teams to implement SLIs and SLOs.
Automate operational tasks to save time and improve accuracy.
Write clean and scalable scripts and software for platform management.
Participate in an on-call rotation for production incidents.

Requirements

8+ years as a Site Reliability, DevOps, or Software Engineer.
Proficiency in high-level languages such as Python, GoLang, Ruby, Java, or JavaScript.
Excellent Linux and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in building high-availability cloud environments in AWS.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deployment automation.
Experience running Kubernetes in production.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools.
Experience instrumenting code and creating instrumentation frameworks.
Experience with SDLC, CI/CD, and related tooling.
Kafka experience is a plus.
