Transmission and Distribution Engineering Lead - Remote

Overview

The Transmission and Distribution Engineering Lead will work with VPS power company clients to design and deploy electric power distribution systems, managing projects from concept to completion.

In Short

• Manage and coordinate multiple engineering projects.
• Stamp and approve designs and calculations.
• Mentor and train new engineers.
• Design overhead and underground lines.
• Support permitting processes and provide field support.
• Stay updated on code requirements and technology.
• Assist public utilities in developing best practices.
• Specify equipment and materials for projects.
• Review and create drawings and specifications.
• Establish project schedules and budgets.

Requirements

• Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university.
• Current Professional Engineers License.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with electric utilities.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams.
• Leadership skills to supervise and mentor engineers.
• Experience with PLS-CAD and O-Calc.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD for drawing review.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
