Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Accountant will manage ongoing business transactions, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with accounting standards in a fully remote role.

In Short

• Record and book ongoing business transactions (accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, cash)
• Account reconciliation and clarification of open items
• Preparation and creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintenance of fixed asset accounting and execution of depreciation
• Support in tax reporting (e.g., VAT advance return)
• Collaboration with tax advisors and auditors
• Creation of evaluations and reports for management
• Ensuring compliance with legal and internal accounting standards

Requirements

• Successfully completed vocational training in accounting or as a tax clerk
• At least 3 years of experience in ongoing accounting according to HGB
• IFRS knowledge is desirable
• Fluent in German and English
