Senior Financial Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst position manages operating and capital budgets, develops financial goals, and supports strategic planning initiatives for the University’s Advancement Office.

In Short

• Manage operating and capital budgets for divisions or University-wide units.
• Develop long and short-term financial goals and forecasts.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director on budget development.
• Provide financial guidance to budget managers.
• Monitor budget performance and prepare variance reports.
• Oversee financial systems including Oracle Cloud and Workday.
• Design financial models and tools for expenditure analysis.
• Lead special projects to enhance financial operations.
• Prepare forecasts and develop expenditure projections.
• Act as a resource for team members and solve complex problems.

Requirements

• College or university degree in a related field.
• 5-7 years of work experience in financial management.
• Experience in nonprofit management or similar fields preferred.
• Minimum two years of project management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Experience with financial systems is a plus.
