Data Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Data Analyst will join a collaborative and interdisciplinary team to support the Foster Insights project, which aims to improve child welfare outcomes using data analysis and visualization.

• Conduct impactful data analyses for child welfare leaders.
• Prepare reports and presentations to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Transform complex datasets into analyzable formats using R and Python.
• Write maintainable code using version control systems like Git.
• Develop and present data visualizations using statistical packages.

• Maintain technical support for research projects.
• Analyze and maintain data and specimens.
• Assist in preparing reports and manuscripts.

Requirements

• College or university degree in a related field.
• Knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of related work experience.
• Hands-on experience in data manipulation and analysis.
• Background in creating data visualizations.
• Exposure to large datasets in public policy or social services.
• Proficiency with R or Python.
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
