Overview

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the Labor & Delivery Unit, delivering high-risk obstetrical care and supporting patient-centered practices.

In Short

• Provide direct patient care in the Labor & Delivery Unit.
• Support high-risk obstetrical care for patients across the state.
• Collaborate with a team to promote patient and family-centered care.
• Perform assessments and develop Plans of Care.
• Administer medications and provide patient education.
• Adhere to UAMS standards and legal requirements.
• Participate in clinical education and mentoring of student nurses.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
• Contribute to the overall improvement of patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Valid RN License required.
• Minimum of 1-year Registered Nursing experience.
• Excellent communication and basic computer skills.
• Strong work ethics and accountability.
• Preferred: 2+ years nursing experience with current BLS.
