Pharmacy Technician I/II/III/IV - Inpatient Pharmacy - Remote

Overview

The Pharmacy Technician I/II/III/IV will assist and support the pharmacist in day-to-day dispensing operations, focusing on patient care and medication management.

In Short

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications.
• Gather appropriate medication and research data in the EPIC system.
• Maintain adequate stock and manage inventory.
• Work as a team member to prioritize tasks based on workload.
• Handle hazardous drugs and follow related policies.
• Monitor and process Pyxis stock outs.
• Package unit dose medications accurately.
• Fill crash cart trays and restock emergency boxes.
• Demonstrate proper phone etiquette and manage calls.
• Maintain clean work surfaces and compounding areas.

Requirements

• Pharmacy technician license or eligibility for AR licensure.
• Experience as a pharmacy technician varies by level (1-4).
• National Certification (CPhT) preferred for higher levels.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and EMR experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting.
