Overview

The Dentist provides general and comprehensive dental services in the Oral Health Clinic, focusing on diagnosing, treating, and preventing oral health issues.

In Short

  • Provides comprehensive dental examinations of patients.
  • Diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, and malformation of teeth and oral structures.
  • Restores teeth and fabricates dentures and other dental appliances.
  • Performs dental surgery and root canal therapy.
  • Administers anesthetics for pain management during procedures.
  • Instructs patients on oral hygiene and disease prevention.
  • Supervises dental assistants and hygienists.
  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities.
  • Communicates with healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
  • Completes necessary documentation for patient records.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine.
  • Completion of a General Practice Residency.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of current dental practices and technologies.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job.
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Ability to manage and supervise dental staff.
