Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our team. In this role, you will act as a key link between Ultragenyx and the rare disease medical community, providing critical scientific information about our Inborn Errors of Metabolism portfolio pipeline and products.

In Short

• Act as a key link between Ultragenyx and the rare disease medical community.
• Provide critical scientific information about the Inborn Errors of Metabolism portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with KOLs and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and execute territory and KOL engagement plans.
• Gather and report medical and clinical insights.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations to enhance patient enrollment in clinical trials.
• Represent Ultragenyx at scientific conferences and meetings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Approximately 60% travel in region and nationally is required.
• Work as part of the Ultragenyx field team.

Requirements

• Terminal degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD) and minimum of 2 years MSL experience.
• Advanced degree (e.g., MS, MSN, MPH) with at least 5 years MSL experience is also acceptable.
• Demonstrated technical and scientific expertise in rare disease preferred.
• Exceptional understanding of the healthcare delivery system.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations regarding product promotion.
• Ability to build strategic internal and external relationships.
• Accountable for individual territory management.
• Proactively delivers on commitments and meets goals.
• Ability to present clinical/scientific information effectively.
• Ability to relate and work with a wide range of people.
