Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our team. In this role, you will act as a key link between Ultragenyx and the rare disease medical community, providing critical scientific information about our Inborn Errors of Metabolism portfolio pipeline and products.

In Short

• Identify and maintain strategic scientific relationships with KOLs.
• Provide balanced presentations and medical information in various settings.
• Develop and execute territory and KOL engagement plans.
• Gather and report medical insights for research and development.
• Analyze KOL’s scientific viewpoints and execute action plans.
• Assist in clinical research initiatives related to company-sponsored trials.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations to enhance patient enrollment.
• Lead internal projects and represent medical affairs cross-functionally.
• Engage with KOLs at scientific conferences and meetings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Terminal degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD) and minimum of 2 years MSL experience.
• Advanced degree with at least 5 years MSL experience may be considered.
• Technical expertise in rare diseases preferred.
• Experience presenting clinical/scientific information in various settings.
• Understanding of healthcare delivery systems and patient care impact.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations regarding product promotion.
• Strategic thinking and knowledge of business practices.
• Ability to build strategic relationships and partnerships.
• Accountable for territory management.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver on commitments.
