Associate Director, State Government Affairs - Remote

Overview

The Associate Director, SGA will represent and advocate for Novartis in New Jersey, New York, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island on behalf of priority policies and objectives involving state and local government affairs.

• Identify and coordinate economic development activities with state government.
• Manage regional PAC activities and promote PAC among colleagues.
• Analyze legislation impacting Novartis and propose amendments.
• Engage with local trade associations and key partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Juris Doctor preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in government affairs in New Jersey and/or New York.
• Experience with governor’s office or state legislature preferred.
• Strong business background and knowledge of state government.
• Ability to build relationships with patient advocacy groups and government officials.
