German Language Linguist (Freelance) - Remote

DataForce by TransPerfect is looking for a linguist with idiomatic fluency in German (Germany) to assist in creating a lexicon, following strict formatting requirements laid out in our project guidelines.

In Short

• Work Location: Remote / Work from home
• Engagement Model: Freelance / Independent Contractor
• Language Needed: German (Germany), English
• Estimated Workload: ca. 28 hours for the entire task
• Expected start: Mid-August 2025
• Project duration: ca. 2 weeks
• Creating phonetic transcriptions using IPA or SAMPA phonetic alphabet
• Strong attention to detail required
• Must have a computer with a reliable internet connection
• Prior experience with linguistic data preferred

Requirements

• Idiomatic fluency in German (Germany)
• Postgraduate degree in Linguistics with a specialization in Phonetics or another relevant field
• Familiarity with the IPA and SAMPA phonetic alphabets
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to provide deliverables on a tight schedule
• A computer with a reliable and steady internet connection
