Thai Language Expert - Remote

Overview

Translated is looking for a Thai Language Expert, preferably based in Bangkok (GMT+7) or Singapore, to support one of our top clients. This senior-level role starts as soon as possible and requires collaboration with internal teams (engineering, marketing, product, and localization), key stakeholders, and local Southeast Asian markets to ensure high-quality localization and a seamless user experience.

In Short

• Contract position with a 12-month commitment, renewable.
• Must guarantee availability during GMT+7 and GMT+8 working hours.
• Act as the primary point of contact for various Southeast Asian locales.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align on content strategies.
• Proofread major projects and perform ongoing QA.
• Manage linguistic feedback from stakeholders.
• Support local market teams on regional projects.
• Experience with global brands or enterprise-level localization is a plus.
• Must attend weekly meetings in GMT+8.
• Not expected to work during Thai bank holidays.

Requirements

• Native Thai speaker.
• Fluent in English; fluency in Indonesian, Malay, Tagalog, or Vietnamese is a plus.
• Strong background in localization, preferably in a tech-driven environment.
• Previous experience as a Language Manager or Localization Specialist.
• Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management and quality reporting.
• Experience managing glossaries and localization QA.
• Familiarity with UI/UX localization.
• Proficiency in CAT tools.
• University degree in translation, linguistics, or localization project management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
