DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

To.Scale, on behalf of one of our clients – a major Japanese automotive manufacturer – is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help shape the future of connected mobility.

In Short

• This isn’t a back-office role; you’ll be hands-on at the core of how cars, apps, and services come together.
• Build the pipelines, infrastructure, and automation for modern connected vehicle platforms.
• Work with Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure security.
• Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, pipelines, and applications.
• Tune AWS environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Share knowledge and review code with the team.
• 3-5 years of DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience required.
• Strong skills in Terraform and AWS are non-negotiable.
• Agile team player with problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on skills with Terraform (non-negotiable).
• AWS expertise (IAM, VPC, EKS, CloudFront, API Gateway).
• Kubernetes deployment & debugging experience.
• CI/CD know-how (GitLab CI preferred, Argo CD a plus).
• Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash/Shell.
• Agile team player with problem-solving drive.

• Contract Type: Freelance (To.Scale is the Employer of Record).
• Initial Duration: Until March 31st, 2026 (extension possible).
• Rate: Based on 220 days/year, converted into a fixed monthly fee that includes paid time off and local public holidays.
