Overview

The Lead Security Engineer will be responsible for defining, designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems that protect Tin Can’s infrastructure, devices, and data, ensuring the safety and trust of families.

In Short

  • Own security strategy and execution from policies to implementation.
  • Design and maintain secure cloud systems across serverless architecture.
  • Ensure applications meet high security and privacy standards.
  • Identify and mitigate threats across multiple layers.
  • Review designs and systems from a security perspective.
  • Support incident response and lead forensics efforts.
  • Define access controls and identity strategies.
  • Establish security standards and incident response plans.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to integrate security into new features.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering or related fields.
  • Experience securing AWS and serverless environments.
  • Understanding of application, API, and network security principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of web and mobile application security.
  • Familiarity with IoT security concerns is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with identity and access controls.
  • Ability to build secure systems from scratch.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks is beneficial.
  • Strategic and hands-on approach to security.
  • Passion for human-centered security design.
