Senior Business Analyst - Environmental Conservation - Remote

Overview

Timmons Group is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to guide a multi-year modernization effort for a long-standing client whose mission centers on environmental conservation. In this consulting role you’ll partner closely with the client’s product owners, scientists, and field staff—as well as our own engineering team—to balance two parallel imperatives: business agility and technical modernization.

In Short

• Translate conservation and regulatory needs into clear, testable user stories.
• Present decision-ready options to product owners.
• Clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities for the development team.
• Lead collaborative workshops to define value streams and maintain project equilibrium.
• Own and refine the product backlog and run sprint planning meetings.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on project progress and risks.
• Develop communication plans and training materials for user adoption.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with proposals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Business Analysis or Product Ownership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field.
• Experience in long-term modernization programs.
• Strong consulting presence and communication skills.
• Solid grasp of Agile/Scrum practices.
• Proficient with Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with geospatial technologies is a plus.
• Excellent communication and feedback skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
• CSPO and PBA, CBAP or CCBA desirable.
