Backend Software Developer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic backend software developer with Node.js experience to join our incredible software development team at Think Tank Training Centre, a leading VFX and game art school.

In Short

• Contract duration: 6 Months, could lead to a full time role depending on upcoming need and fit
• Location: remote (must be based in Canada)
• Reports to: Head of Programming
• Hourly Rate Range: Cad $35.00 - $62.00
• Hours/Week: 40
• Write efficient, transparent and well-documented code
• Participate in design processes and engineering practices
• Take ownership of supplementary software support projects
• Strong communication and collaboration skills required
• Proficiency with Typescript is a must-have
• Experience with relational databases and modern frontend frameworks

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
• Strong independent learning skills
• Experience with Node.js backend framework
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL
• Ability to review design handoff documentation
