Overview

The Student Information Systems (SIS) Analyst supports the configuration, administration, and ongoing operations of the Medical College of Wisconsin's student information and admissions systems within the Department of Academic Affairs. This role provides technical application support across Banner and Slate, partners with Academic Affairs leadership and IT staff, and serves as a key resource for end user support and troubleshooting.

In Short

  • Supports configuration and modification of student information systems.
  • Provides technical application support for assigned modules.
  • Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.
  • Triages and manages help desk tickets.
  • Communicates with application vendors to resolve application failures.
  • Participates in systems upgrades and modifications.
  • Establishes test plans and executes testing.
  • Coordinates IT troubleshooting and daily activities.
  • Prepares and maintains standard operating procedures.
  • Assists with end user training and participates in on-call coverage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Knowledge of student information systems (e.g., Banner, Slate).
  • Experience in systems analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Skills in developing user training materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Customer support skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
  • Occasional evening or weekend availability required.
