The Senior Clinical Reimbursement Analyst provides critical analytical and reimbursement-related guidance to various operating segments across Sanford Health, ensuring appropriate levels of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Minnesota.
• Responsible for reviewing Medicare/Medicaid documentation.
• Works with nursing centers to complete MDS documentation.
• Partners with executive leadership and facility staff for training.
• Audits resident charts for accuracy and reimbursement categories.
• Utilizes reports for accuracy of MDS coding and reimbursement opportunities.
• Develops work plans to maximize reimbursement practices.
• Participates in hiring and training of MDS Coordinators.
• Ensures compliance with Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent education required.
• 3-5 years of MDS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license.
• Certification from AANAC may be required within six months.
• Maintains required department competencies and certifications.
