Overview

The Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) Flight Test Safety Engineering team is seeking a Flight Test Safety Official – Proprietary Programs to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. This role involves performing operational, ground, and environmental safety engineering tasks for proprietary test programs.

In Short

• Collaborate within a cross-section of program disciplines.
• Manage safety requirements of the product/program.
• Perform critical safety engineering activities for ground and flight tests.
• Conduct safety risk management activities.
• Provide flight and ground test operations safety support.
• Review engineering design specifications for safety impacts.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Implement Safety Management System (SMS) practices.
• Prepare presentations and reports for safety boards.
• Engage in regular communication with program management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with risk identification and mitigation plans.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience in aviation safety.
• Capable of traveling 25% of the time.
• Experience in Safety Management Systems training.
• Knowledge of test hazard analysis and aviation mishap investigations.
• Experience with various aircraft systems and flight test operations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Current pilot certificate or aircrew experience is preferred.
• Experience with system safety engineering standards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
